Our townhouse is for sale SOLD!  We no longer live here, but it was my home for 6 and a half years, and I have lots of great memories in this townhouse!

Following are some pictures of how it looked while we lived in it with the “after” photos being how it looked after we fixed it up to sell it (making it all neutral).

Here’s the kitchen.  I painted the cabinets white a couple of years ago.  They used to be maple wood color, and I think it looks much nicer now.  BEFORE:

AFTER (added hardwood floors and granite counters):

Here’s the living room.  I painted the stair railings white as well at the same time that I painted the kitchen cabinets.  The french doors on the left side of this picture lead outside to our back patio.  BEFORE:

A shot of the fireplace.

Another angle of the living room showing the dining area to the right with the pass-through into the kitchen.  On the left, next to the stairs is the half bath leading to the entry foyer.  BEFORE:

Another shot of the stairs.  On the right you can again see part of the door to the half bath.

If you walk up the stairs, straight ahead of you is the closet with the washer and dryer in it.  To your left is the master bedroom, and to your right is Talan’s bedroom.  Our bedroom right now is very crowded with furniture because when Bryan moved in with me, we had to try to fit everything from both of our places all into one house.  I’m looking forward to moving to a larger house where we’ll have more room to spread out.  BEFORE:

Here’s our master bathroom.  The door at the end of this picture with the mirror on it leads into our walk-in closet.  If you turn right after the shower, that leads back into our bedroom.  BEFORE:

AFTER:

Here’s Talan’s room.  He and Bryan are both into sports, so the room has a sports theme.  When Bryan and Talan moved in with me, we put Bryan’s headboard and bed in Talan’s room along with my old dresser (which used to be my sister’s), Talan’s piece of furniture that used to be his changing table, and some old bookshelves and a small table that I got from Ikea in college.  They were all mismatched shades of dark wood, light wood, and white, so I painted all of the furniture black to make it all cohesive.  I like the way it ended up looking against the yellow walls.  We also use Talan’s room as the guest bedroom, so it’s nice to have a room that’s not too childish since we often have visiting family and friends stay in that room when Talan’s not with us.  BEFORE:

AFTER:

Here is Talan’s bathroom.  All of the bathrooms and the kitchen were wallpapered when I moved into my townhouse, and I left them like that because taking down wallpaper seemed like too much effort.  BEFORE:

The back patio of our house.  We just recently power-washed the concrete, so it looks a lot better.  Maybe I’ll take a new picture to update it with our nice clean new patio.  (Pretty much no change.  A few months after power washing the grime came back, so the patio looks about like this once again.)

So that’s our house!  I’ve loved my townhouse since I bought it back in 2005, but I feel like we’ve outgrown it, and I’m really looking forward to selling it and moving somewhere bigger.
